Ovation does not sell your data, does not track you, and does not use analytics or advertising SDKs. This page explains what the app does handle and why.
When you tap “I did it” and type what you finished (for example, “wrote the quarterly report”), that text is sent to our backend (hosted on Vercel) and immediately forwarded to OpenAI’s API for AI response generation.
OpenAI’s own privacy terms govern their processing of the request: https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy.
Your progress — points per path, unlocked personas, fork choices, daily tap count, streak, tap history, subscription status — is stored locally on your device using iOS’s standard UserDefaults system. It is never uploaded to any server.
If you delete the app, this data is removed with it.
Subscription purchases are handled entirely by Apple’s StoreKit. Ovation receives a confirmation event indicating whether your subscription is active, and nothing else.
To manage or cancel your subscription: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone.
Ovation is rated 12+ on the App Store. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Because we don’t retain task descriptions or link any data to an identity, there is nothing to request or delete on our side. All in-app data lives on your device and is removed when you delete the app.
If this policy changes, the effective date at the top will be updated and any material change will be announced in-app.
